Bryant High School is proud to announce that it was awarded a grant from Educate Fairfax for the "Care Packages for Our Military" project. This initiative, spearheaded by one of our exceptional teachers, Iris Stubblefield, stood out amongst a competitive pool of over 200 applications from 100 schools. Educate Fairfax ultimately selected 106 proposals for funding, with Bryant's proposal being recognized for its creativity and impact.  Students worked together to prepare care packages for soldiers of Better Opportunities for Single Service Members of Fort Belvoir.  These care packages supported soldiers who were unable to visit home during the holiday season.

Ms. Stubblefield's "Care Packages for Our Military" project exemplifies Bryant High School's dedication to providing innovative and engaging learning experiences for all students. This initiative will not only provide students with the opportunity to learn about the experiences of military personnel and their families, but also to actively demonstrate their appreciation by assembling and sending care packages.

The project resonated with Educate Fairfax's mission to support educators and enhance the learning environment for FCPS students. Furthermore, it aligns directly with the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Strategic Plan, which emphasizes civic engagement, community partnerships, and the development of well-rounded individuals.

The entire Bryant High School community extends its gratitude to Educate Fairfax for this generous grant and to Ms. Stubblefield for her dedication and inspiring work. We are excited to see the positive impact this project will have on our students and the military personnel who receive these tokens of appreciation.
