Active Physics
This is a hands-on, activity based physics course that is designed for students who have not taken science courses in the past and for students who are English language learners (ELL’s). It is especially suited for students who have a less extensive background in science or math. We will explore standard introductory physics topics including, circuits, electricity, energy, waves, graphing and experimental design, linear motion, acceleration and forces.
We will develop an understanding in these areas by working with experimental objects, working in teams, observing and measuring natural events, taking measurements, thinking, writing and participating in classroom discussions. We will evaluate student progress in achieving academic goals based on county, state and national standards.
The key to student success lies in open communication between us and making our best effort to work together.
